Biographie
Jérémy Gobé, né en 1986 à Cambrai, est un artiste français qui vit et travaille à Paris. Jérémy à étudié aux Beaux arts de Nancy et aux Arts Décoratifs de Paris. Il a été lauréat du prix Planète Art Solidaire décerné par la maison Ruinart et Art of Change et du prix de l’Art sous la mer de la Fondation Jacques Rougerie en 2021 pour son travail mêlant art science et technologie pour la protection des barrières de corail à travers le monde. En 2020 il a été Lauréat du prix Pierre Cardin de l'Académie des Beaux Arts dans la catégorie sculpture et du prix International Théophile Legrand pour l'innovation textile et finaliste des Trophée de l'avenir Europe 1 dans la catégorie environnement. En 2015 il est finaliste du prix Coal Océan en partenariat avec Coal, Tara expéditions et Agnès B. ainsi que du Fid prize, prix international de dessin contemporain. En 2011 il a été lauréat de la Fondation Bulukian à Lyon, du Prix Pierre Gautier-Delay, ENSAD, Cité internationale des arts et prix du Festival Ici et Demain de la ville de Paris. La même année il a été finaliste des Audi Talents Awards et du prix Icart Les artiste de demain.
Le travail de Jérémy Gobé se construit autour d’une idée centrale ; comme le disait Auguste Rodin : "un art qui a de la vie ne reproduit pas le passé, il le continue". Il va à la rencontre des objets sans usage et des ouvrages non façonnés, des ouvriers sans ouvrages et des matières sans ouvriers. Au fil de ses expositions en France (Palais de Tokyo, CENTQUATRE-Paris, Fondation Bullukian, etc.) et à l’international (Bass Muséum Miami, Hangzu China Muséum, Shanghai Yuz Museum, etc.), ses œuvres imposent une reconnexion au vivant ; à partir de savoir-faire anciens qu’il décline, projette, transforme Jérémy Gobé nous propose par l’imaginaire de réfléchir à des solutions susceptibles de répondre à des problématiques contemporaines.
En 2017 il crée Corail Artefact, un projet art, science, industrie, éducation pour sauver les barrières de corail.
